We practice software engineering as a craft — and point it at the places it’s needed most. Samanvay Technologies builds dependable, open technology for organisations working in hard, underserved environments: low bandwidth, low-end devices, high stakes.

Principles we don't trade away.
- 01Field-first
- We design for the worst network and the cheapest phone in the room. If it only works in an office on Wi-Fi, it doesn't work.
- 02Open by default
- Public repositories, permissive collaboration, no lock-in. Software built for consequential work should be inspectable by the people who depend on it.
- 03Small, senior teams
- A few experienced engineers who own a problem outperform a large team that rents it. We stay small on purpose.
- 04Stewardship over handoffs
- We stay with the systems we build — operating, maintaining, and improving them for years, not delivering a zip file and leaving.
- 05No hierarchies
- A productive, people-centric, open organisation. Agile, lean, and XP practices — pairing, tests, small releases — not org charts.
- 06Long-term partnerships
- We mostly engage in long-term partnerships with pioneering and grassroots organisations across India — through consulting, engineering, implementation, operations, and support.

Samanvay Foundation — a Section-8 non-profit working since 2016 — builds open digital infrastructure for India's social sector. Samanvay Technologies is a separate, privately held engineering company. We share a name, a history, and people; each carries its own mission.
