We took the name seriously. Technology only works when engineering rigor and ground reality converge — when the person writing the sync logic understands the health worker walking between villages with a phone that charges once a day. That convergence is our whole practice.

Community health · ASHWINI, the Nilgiris
ASHWINI runs community health programs in the tribal regions of the Nilgiris. With Avni, health workers collect and track maternal and child health, tuberculosis, and NCD data in real time — integrated with Bahmni so community care and hospital care speak to each other.

Leadership for Equity used Avni to digitise the World Bank's Teach classroom-observation tool for the Andhra Pradesh government. 15,000 field officers observe 1.8 lakh public school teachers and send each one customised guidance. The mature system was handed over to the government to run.
